The Future of Learning 2016: Mini-Course and Danielle Allen’s Talk

Date:

Tue - Thu, Jul 26 to Jul 28, 9:00pm - 5:00pm

Location:

Cambridge, MA

The Future of Learning Institute at Project Zero gathers dynamic educators from around the world to examine how learning is changing and acquire practical tools to support deep, relevant, and long-lasting learning in a rapidly shifting educational landscape. From July 26 through 28, 2016, FOL will explore four critical issues on education in a globally and digitally networked society.

  • Learning for what purpose?
  • How might we rethink learning?
  • What should we do differently?
  • How might we recast the education profession?

Teaming up again with Carrie James from Project Zero and Adam Strom from Facing History and Ourselves, Chaebong Nam will run a mini-course from 10:30 to 12:30 pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 and Danielle Allen will give a talk in the plenary sessions at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, July 26.
