This is the final CMEI (Civic and Moral Education Initative) event of the 2015-16 academic year! Three panelists––including *Carrie James and Sangita Shresthova who are the members of the Youth Participatory Politics Research Network*––will share about the implications of social media on civic education and social movements. Below are the details released by the event organizer.

**Social Media: Challenges for Change**

Social media dramatically democratizes; how should civic education be reshaped for new forms of participation? What skills do young people need for negotiation, conflict management and the anxieties around public exposure of their values and partisanship? When is changing norms as important as changing laws? The panel will address provocative and challenging issues related to civic media.
